Burial Arrangements
Traditional burial for your pet is arranged in much the same manner as you would for a human family member. Costs vary depending on plot type, casket and memorial size and style, as well as services desired. Funerals & Viewing
The funeral is tailored to meet your specifications. Usually at Cedar Hills’ funerals the pet’s family chooses to spend a few final quiet moments together with their pet in our comfortable and relaxed private viewing room. Although viewing your pet is not a requirement, for many it is an intricate part of the burial process. From our experience, a viewing serves as a source of healing and closure in the grieving process. The casket is then placed on a carrier and you can follow our staff in a ceremonial procession to the gravesite.
After the casket is lowered into the grave, you are offered a symbolic first shovel of dirt. The burial is then completed by our staff in your presence.
Just like pre-need planning is important for your family, we strongly encourage a pre-need plan for your pets. Having all of the details planned out beforehand eases both the emotional and financial burden when the time comes. Pre-planning also delivers the added benefit of allowing you to prepay cemetery costs at today’s prices.
