James was one of three shiny eyed Chihuahua’s in a early summer litter in 2006. He was the solid black one that captured my eye and we looked at each other for a bit. He grew and we traveled and soon he filled the void of poochieman, another wonderful chihuahua. James grew and chased the geese into the pond in which he dove. I thought he had drown but fifteen feet later surfaced swimming toward the geese. I had to call him back. He had never seen geese or water before and stole my heart. He was fearless and heart of a lion. Many litters down the road and years for us both James died of a sudden illness Sunday night and was buried this morning. I hughed James Sunday night knowing he didn’t feel good and was headed to the vet this morning but James remained in the same position I had layed him down in and departed in his sleep. He was “my little man” and today has not been good. I miss you so little man and hope to see you soon. I am heart broken.

car, heading home to see her for the last time… she had already died when my sister and I got to our house. She was in a cardboard box, wrapped in a towel, just as cute as a baby. I missed her so much. She and I had had so much fun together. I loved her so much, and I always will. I know she loved me because she waited for me to say goodbye to her over the phone. I knew I would not be the same without her. Life would never be like I knew it. We are so sad. I buried her in the most beautiful place in the world, in my backyard, under our sapling.
Sprinkles, we miss you!

3/14/2012 Today our Whizz went to heaven and our hearts are deeply saddened. He made us laugh, today he made us cry, but more than anything he made us Love? RIP our little buddy you will be sorely missed.
…and I know you’re shining down on me from heaven like so many friends we’ve lost along the way and I know eventually we’ll be together one sweet day… this song was on the radio when I started my car –after leaving the vets office, where I had to do one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life. I had to watch our sweet Whizz close his eyes and go to heaven. God let us borrow him for 13+ years, but today was time for him to go back home. We saved his life when he was a tiny kitten and God blessed us with many years of love and laughter with this sweet fat cat. I know some people think that animals don’t go to heaven–but I think they are wrong, because as I pulled out onto the highway I looked up and the sky turned orange-just like our Whizz!
God painted the sky with a blaze of orange and arranged it just in time for me to see as I kissed our sweet kitty good-bye and sent him on his way to heaven. I didn’t think anyone would believe me when I told them the sky went orange as our precious kitty went to heaven- so I took a picture to prove it. I think it was God’s way of comforting me and my family by telling us “It’s okay, he is sitting in my lap right now, I’m scratching under his chin and he is breathing just fine–he’s home, he is okay”. As I looked at this picture when I got home–I saw something I didn’t see earlier, a cross on a faraway hill in the background (and yes, it’s a power pole) but the timing was perfect and so was the lighting, because it reminded me of a long ago cross on a hill far away that our Savior gave his life on, for me, for us, along with a promise of an eternity with him, a promise that we will see our Whizz again.
I also wanted to show everyone that God does comfort his children in so many different ways. Mine today 3/14/2012, just happened to be the sky, the color of a big old orange tabby cat; that was loved by so many. RIP our Whizz, you will be missed, and our home will never, ever be the same?
